Arrangements in place during the last financial year for identifying, planning and meeting the training needs of staff employed by the service provider. Training needs are identified through spot checks, supervision, appraisals, competency assessments, and audits (e.g., medication and safeguarding). A training matrix tracks mandatory and role-specific training in line with CIW and All Wales requirements. Annual training plans are developed, with access to e-learning and face-to-face sessions. Compliance is monitored monthly, with refresher training scheduled to ensure staff maintain safe, effective practice.
Arrangements in place during the last financial year for the recruitment and retention of staff employed by the service provider. During the last financial year, we implemented robust recruitment and retention strategies, including values-based recruitment, safer recruitment checks (DBS, references, right to work), and structured induction aligned with CIW standards. Retention was supported through ongoing training, supervision, flexible rotas, staff recognition, and access to wellbeing support, ensuring a stable, skilled, and motivated workforce.
